On February 21st, 2023, Giuseppe Lollino won 1st place in the Gelato Festival: World Masters with the flavor Tribute to Setteveli. Setteveli is a chocolate gelato base with a hint of hazelnut, topped with a chocolate ganache, a hazelnut praline, and a hazelnut biscoff crunch. In September he will be going out to Hollywood to complete again, and if he wins in the second competition, he will be off to Italy to compete in the finals!
Angelo Lollino competed in the 2018 Gelato Festival (Chicago) with Eli’s Strawberry Cheesecake Gelato, the hit flavor only available at Mariano's in early 2018.
Our Cocco Sogno gelato earned the technical jury choice at the Gelato World Tour in Rimini, Italy! We're extremely proud of our team that went to compete. Thank you so much for your hard work! It was a big honor for us to be one of only 36 global gelato artisans competing for the title of "World's Best Gelato." Our technical jury choice recognition comes from judges at the event. Attendees at the event also voted on the top three overall winners. The "World's Best Gelato" and first place prize was from Italy. Second place was from Germany, and third place was from Colombia. Congratulation to the winners and all the participants!
