Our coffee is created in the true old world tradition of small batch roasting, blending exceptional quality beans from around the world for an authentic Vero coffeehouse experience in your home (or while shopping at your local Mariano's). You're sure to fall in love with our entire collection of distinctive blends.
We seek out the highest quality coffee that tastes phenomenal and has a unique origin. This is what drives us to source the best, most interesting beans from coffee growing regions around the world and build strong, lasting relationships with our farm partners.
Colombia Supremo Antioquia
This coffee is what off-the-shelf brands are trying to emulate when they offer “100% Colombian” blends, and not one of them comes close to the quality of a fresh roasted Colombian Supremo bean. These large beans create a medium bodied and sweet tasting coffee with a rich flavor and aroma. If you are new to buying freshly roasted coffee and don’t know where to begin, or if you’re a veteran, this selection will satisfy your coffee craving!
Brazilian Santos
Brazil is known the world over as one of the most prolific and dedicated of coffee producers. This selection from the Santos region in southern Brazil is easily the “softest” coffee we offer, and many people are surprised by how smooth and light it is on their palate. As a result, this makes an excellent choice for those who enjoy milk and sugar in their cup. At its best as a drip coffee, it also makes for a delightful single-origin espresso with a pleasant cinnamon nuance and a great crema.
Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
In 850 AD, it is said an Ethiopian goat herder discovered the wonders of coffee when his flock grew restless and wouldn’t go to sleep at night. Curious, he discovered that his flock had been eating the cherries of coffee trees. This artisan coffee offers a smooth yet surprisingly deep body and crisp acidity. Displaying a sweet, chocolaty aroma and flavor notes reminiscent of buttery pecan and cocoa powder, these versatile gourmet coffee beans are great for drip coffeemakers, pour over, French press, percolator, and reusable K-Cups. Whether you are writing code or herding goats, you’ll know Yirgacheffe is the discovery of a lifetime.
Guatemala Antigua
The Antigua Valley of Guatemala is treasured for its 100-year-old farms, nutrient-rich volcanic soil and its coffee, which is the touchstone of quality. Farmers take enormous pride in traditions they've passed on for generations. As a result, the coffee you experience is rich and multidimensional, with a flavor that’s consistent, cup after cup—lemon, chocolate and soft spice notes with an elegant mouthfeel unique to this region.
Kenya AA
On graduation day, after throwing your mortarboard into the air, you may have thought of the importance of letter grades as a thing of the past, but our Kenya AA beans prove otherwise. The AA designation is the highest grade on the scale and is based on the size, shape, and density of the beans, and after one cup, you’ll know why even an A+ wasn’t lofty enough for this coffee. Maturing in Kenya’s rich volcanic soil, these beans have a sharp, winey flavor with a distinct fruitiness that’s sure to excite the taste buds of even the most jaded coffee aficionado. The beans are roasted a bit darker than other Light coffees we offer (but not dark enough to be oily) to bring out the subtle flavor notes the normal Light roast will not. Try it, and find out why these beans are at the top of the class.
Sumatra Mandheling
A staple of coffee shops throughout the world, Sumatra has an earthy, chocolaty flavor and is considered to be among the finest beans available. Hailing from the Indonesian island of Sumatra, this varietal is ideal as a dessert coffee or for those who want to avoid high-acid brews. Featuring a dry finish and sweet aroma, these full-flavored beans will leave you wanting more.
